Hypothesis

Abandonment.  This is a topic that I believe many people will be able to relate to. Not everyone was abandoned by a parent.  However, everyone has, in some shape or form, been abandoned by someone or something.  I think that it is important to know the side effects of this major issue, it leaves the ones who were left behind with emotional scars that are near to impossible to heal. My question is this, “What are the effects on a child who was abandoned by their parent?”  I want to know how abandonment affects the child whose parent purposefully left them behind.  I know for a fact that it leaves deep wounds. I want to know what the full extent of the damage is, and how, if there is anything, to heal that wound.
