4 boys checked yes to all choices given.  1 said “commitment issues with others, feel the need to be closed off, and fear getting too close to people”. 2 boys said “commitment issues with others, feel the need to be closed off, fear getting too close to people, and low self-esteem”.
4. On a scale 1-5, how difficult do you believe it is to cope with the abandonment of a parent?
6 girls said “5”, and 3 girls said “4”
3 boys said “5”, 3 boys said “3” and 1 boy said “1”.

8 out of 8 girls said female.
7 out of 7 boys said male.
6. What age group are you in?
6 girls said 13-15, and 2 said 16-18.
6 boys said 13-15, a and 1 said 19 and up.
7. How do you think girls react to abandonment?
All girls checked all of the choices provided.
5 guys said “don’t try in school, depression, hop around from guy to guy, anger, and fear developing close relationships”. 1 guy said “depression”, and 1 guy said “depression and hop around from guy to guy”.
8. How do you think guys react to abandonment?  6 girls said “anger, cut off relationships with other family members, hop around from girl to girl, and don’t care about school.”  2 girls said “don’t care about school, hop around from girl to girl, and anger”.
5 guys said “anger and cut off relationships with other family members and don’t care about school.”  2 guys said “anger, hop around from girl to girl, and don’t try in school”.
